The first time I wore one of these out into the world was a Saturday morning in the East Village. I went to the local coffee shop where I spent the last year designing almost this entire collection. The girl behind the counter interrupted me, mid-order (dirty chai, extra shot of espresso, please) and exclaimed, "I'm so sorry, but where did you get that necklace? I'm obsessed!" It caught me totally off guard. Mostly because she was the first person not related to me or required by laws-of-friendship to compliment it. Needless to say, she made my holiday gift list.
Oh, and I've noticed that guys seem to like it, too: "Cool Pac-Man necklace." That works...
The Fortune Cookie Lockets hold an accordion-folded fortune and other small, oddly shaped things.
Slightly larger than the Petite Fortune Cookie Pendants, the Fortune Cookie Lockets have a similarly rustic feel with wavy edges and a slightly uneven, yet shiny, texture. They open and close on a small hinge and fasten shut with a handmade clasp.

Each Fortune Cookie Locket is packaged in one of our specially-designed, stacked corrugated cardboard boxes with 'F' slider and custom-etched chipboard wrapper.
Your fortune will be included in the box, within a hand-assembled, mini fortune envelope. The front of the envelope is stamped with YOUR FORTUNE IS WITHIN. The official F&F seal is stamped onto the back flap.
Care: Do not wear in the water. Remove before going to sleep. Should the locket clasp become loose, bend it over the metal ball and then use either jewelry pliers or tweezers to tighten it until securely closed. Red brass jewelry may tarnish and/or blacken with wear and heat. Please see our Care section for easy tips for restoring the shine of red brass and other metals.
